UFO Recession Tip 50 - Turn Off Lights and Have Fun

50turnofflights

Earthlings, as we fly our saucy saucer over your houses at night, we see many lights turned on for no reason at all. We see the waste of electricity all over the Zorkplanetsqad200_4world. We beam lights at your homes to make you fully aware of this, but we guess we have a communication problem.

If you want to save electricity, you have to be light conscious. You also need to be money, energy and recession conscious during the recession.

Save money by simply turning off lights as you exit a room for more than five minutes. Can this be any easier?

There was a time in Earthling history when you did not have electricity. It was not really that long ago

UFO Recession Tip 49 - Stop Newspapers and Magazine Subscriptions

Earthlings, we do not understand you sometimes, well most of the time. You have an opportunity to save the planet and get things for free, yet you continue to be defiant. I am speaking of your newspaper and magazine subscriptions.

You have a crude technology sphere called the Internet. Compared to the technology on our planet, it is primitive, but it works.

Earthlings, if you have access to Internet, you can get all your information for FREE, unless it is The Wall Street Journal. There is no need to subscribe to magazines or newspapers. You can save money, and receive all this information and more, faster and much better over the Internet. Most important, you will not use tree materials which are processed and made into paper.

Earthlings, you can access New York Times, USA Today, Time,

UFO Recession Tip 48 - 15 Ways to Exercise Your Budget during Recession

1. Do not spend more money than you have. Sounds so obvious, but not for a lot of Earthlings. That means, no using credit cards, or writing checks for funds that are not yet in your account. If you do not have the cash in the bank, do not purchase the item.

Say this out loud with us, Earthlings: No cash in your bank, NO check writing!

2. Receipts. Check your receipts to make sure you are charged correctly every time you purchase something. Mistakes happen. Take your receipts home and track what you spend. This will help you see what areas you should cut back on. Check your bank statements as well, in case your bank made a mistake on a transaction. Oh, surely, your bank has never, ever made a mistake. Yeah, okay. Banks on Earth are designed to screw you up and overcharge you with fees. We hate to burst you bubble.

UFO Recession Tip 47 - Share Clothes with a Friend

47alienshareclothes

Earthlings, do not spend $150 to $400 on a dress or outfit you will wear only one time to a special party or on a date. We aliens think that is a DIDIOT thing to do during the recession.

When you purchase a new garment, always calculate the "cost per wear" for that item. For example.

$100 Blue Jeans / 200 wears = 50 pennies per wear

$100 Evening Gown / 2 wears = $50 per wear

You can easily see, based on these calculations that the blue jeans are a good investment, but the dress is not.

We have several ways for you to save money and still wear nice, beautiful garments during the recession.

Share clothing with your friends. Simply find a friend who is you shape and size. Humans tend to befriend other humans who are similar in height and weight so this is easy.
